A call has gone to the electorates in Ekiti state to ensure they strike the gold in the governorship candidate of the All Progressivess Congress (APC), Dr Kayode Fayemi in this weekend election to ensure a steady growth and imposing development of the state.
This was contained in a statement made available to the Press by the Spokesman of the All Progressivess Congress in the United Kingdom, Mr Jacob Ogunseye during a chat in Abuja yesterday to galvanise support for the party’s candiddate.
According to the statement, Ogunseye said “Dr Fayemi represents the finest of our politics in Nigeria today, he has blended the best of technocrats with institutional organisation coupled with his stunts as governor where he has recorded monumental achievements and set the goals far apart to the extent that it will take another cerebral and intellectual individuals like him to bring such to pass again in the state”.
In reference to the Fayemi’s assertion during the grand finale yesterday, the UK’s organ of the ruling party said “Ekiti people should cast their votes for Fayemi on Saturday to show Gov. Fayose that the power of Ekiti people is much greater than his power,”
In the passionate call, Ogunseye remembered how the former governor catered for the old people in the state through provision of social benefits in a form of token of N5,000.00 to support them, he pointed out too.
He also remembered how the former Minister of Solid Mineral Resources revolutionalized the moribund industries in the state which have again went into comma under the leadership of Gov. Ayo Fayose whom he accused his administration of “lacking in focus and innovation but believing in mediocrity and second rated thoughts.”
With the new promises from Dr Fayemi, Ekiti people will definitely be greeted with new season as they entrust their votes with such person with vast experience in governance at different levels.
“Dr Fayemi has promised to re-introduce monumental developmental polices including the payment of monthly stipends to the aged, offering of free services in health services, education, agriculture and hope to see the re-establishment of the local development areas to bring governance and development to the people, the statement added.
