The All Progressives Congress in the United Kingdom has described the presidential candidate of the opposition candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and his party as lazy, idle and lethargic over their outburst on who represents President Muhammadu Buhari in the proposed Presidential Debate among the contestants of the February 16th election.
In a statement signed in Abuja yesterday by the spokesman of the party, Mr Jacob Ogunseye, the party in the UK said they were surprised to see how laziness has beclouded the main opposition over their inability to understand a simple issue.
According to him, “when did chairman of the campaign committee replaced the president of the country? Does Asiwaju Tinubu’s elevation as the chairman of the campaign committee automatically transfer the presidency to him? Why are PDP and its candidate making a slanderous statement over what they know nothing about? Why are they so scared?
Ogunseye queried the preparedness of the PDP and urge them to face their campaign as APC reserve the right to either attend or stay away from the debate.
Their preparedness is questionable, they need to know that the coming elections will not be won by multiple Press conferences and lies. Nigerians will vote for truth and stand with it. They will vote for the integrity and continuation of the monumental infrastructural development, Nigerians will vote for peace and development, Nigerians will vote to ensure none of its territories it again taken by terrorists across the country.
In the statement, he wondered why Alhaji Atiku Abubakar rushed to the Press questioning the choice of Asiwaju Tinubu who the President just ceded power to as the chairman of the APC campaign committee, describing such as an internal affair of the party which PDP need not get itself involved.
For the record, the campaign committee of APC has sailed over, the party is destined for success and will be winning the coming elections despite PDP’s monetization, APC campaign will be based on issues, no amount of fake news will distract the party, Nigerians have known their antics and it won’t work, the statement added.
