As praises continue to pour in for the Federal Government over the release of the kidnapped DAPChi schoolgirls, a chieftain of the party in the United Kingdom, Prince Ade Omole has described the release of the schoolgirls as special and unforgettable in the history of Nigeria.
This was contained in a press statement made available to the Press today in Abuja while speaking on the release of the girls. Omole described the government of President Muhammadu Buhari as responsive and sensitive to the issues affecting Nigerians.
Omole said, “The APC-led government headed by President Muhammadu Buhari is obviously responsive and sensitive, the government kept hope alive on DAPChi schoolgirls and other issues affecting Nigerians. It is now crystal clear to Nigerians at home and abroad that we have a government that is resolute and ready to do the needful to rescue its citizens from the claws of the terrorist group boko haram.
Boko haram represents the Dark Age and should not be given any space to operate within our domain. The efforts of the present administration are commendable but there are opportunities to do better, such opportunities should be closely exploited to bring out the best.
Ade Omole also described the parents of the schoolgirls as praiseworthy and heroic.
I sincerely commend and congratulate the parents of the girls for their perseverance and supports for the Federal Government while the search was underway. Such a support is absolutely praiseworthy and heroic, said Omole.
He also praised the bravery of our armed forces and urges the military to intensify their efforts in returning the remaining Chibok girls and prevent future occurrence of mass abduction of students in the country in order to avoid the embarrassment and sending wrong signals to the international community.
Omole also advised special rehabilitation programme for the released girls having been abducted for close to a month.
Federal Government should set out a clear programme to rehabilitate released students while reinforcing security across all schools in Nigeria most especially the North east part of Nigeria to prevent future occurrence, Omole added.
